The american river flowing through the rocks,

Wade into the waters
Let the river take
On a spiritual journey
Like no other

As a young boy
I learned about the river
As my grandfather fished
And I wandered the banks

as windy whims and curiosities
filled my mind and I wandered
as free as an eagle, as free
as the swallowtail
fluttering in the summer air.
