Love the way the rising lumber seems in concert with the rising rock here. I suspect (although don't know) the barn was there before the paved highway -- if so, how great that they allowed it to remain intact! A part of what I love about this image is that it reminds me of road trips, and makes me want to go on another soon. So many sights like this all across the country, so often just driven past, and barely lingering in the mind long enough to make a mark, other than "ah!". :) Good on you, for capturing that fleeting vision, and saving it for the rest of us! :) V
